A Way to End 2022

2022 was a very long yet quick year. It was the year I learned so many memorable lessons and experiences, in which I will always cherish to my grave. I am fortunate enough to tell you that I ended 2022 with a very great holiday.

Early December, I was busy with the finals, but mid-December until early January was holiday. Several days after the finals, there was this event at school where we all have a simulation of life from the beginning, the process, until the end of mankind. The event was actually a form of closing of one of the many programs in my school, this time it was the MT PAI program, so we had a chance to look at life from another perspective. I consider that to be part of my holiday, because my definition of holiday is when you are no longer burdened with pressure from school or work or any other regular thing you usually do on a regular basis. Holiday is that time of the year when you can be free, do whatever you like, wherever you would, and not worry of any deadlines whatsoever. The MT PAI closing felt like fun. I did not have to worry about anything, all I did was spending some happy time with my friends and seniors.

Not so long after that, I got my report cards and thus it instantly begin the official holiday. Approximately the day after I got my report cards, I headed straight to Jakarta to attend a family gathering on Sunday, December 25th 2022. It was at my cousins’ new house! They recently got a new home, and since it was also my uncle’s and aunt’s and also my grandparents’ anniversary so we celebrated them all together. I later spent the night there to have the full new-house-new-me experience hahaha.

On December 30th, I went home to Bandung to spend new year’s eve here. I have the whole thing planned. I did not attend any event at my friend’s nor did I have any at my home. My families are out with their own errands, and I did not have any plans because I have my own plans made beforehand. I wanted to watch holiday movies such as; Home Alone, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, etc by myself for a fullday from day to night while eating steak I cooked by myself and listening to christmas musics, and I did exactly that. It was a very calming night, and at approximately 12 o’clock midnight I watched the fireworks in the sky and on my TV aswell. Then I proceeded to talk to my friends online and subsequently go to sleep.

School started on January 9th 2022, so I had to make the last days of that holiday worthy. The last event I attended before going back to school was my friend’s birthday gathering on the 6th. Her birthday was on the third, but we ate together at Jardin only 3 days later. It was very fun. I had the chance to meet my friends from junior high and new friends aswell.

Holiday is always the most wonderful time of year, I’m so glad I had a good one.
